Two twists of Fate led me to following my dream and founding my very own business - Tarot Teas. The first was a little vegan cafe and specialty tea shop on Broadway Market in London - a now ‘hip’ street that runs through London Fields in Hackney - where I worked as a waitress in my very first job in the city, almost 11 years ago today. In that tiny eccentric tea shop, the jars and jars of tea blends from all corners of the world lined the walls on shelves stacked right to the ceiling. When the shop was quiet, my favourite thing to do was climb the rickety ladder and grab my favourite teas down from the shelves to stick my nose in and smell.

My love of herbal teas and fruit tea blends has grown ever since but it took a second piece of fate until I began blending my own. This came from a book - The Book Of English Magic - which I bought on a whim from a bookshop in London, reading it faithfully on the tube every day on the way into and back from work. Held within its pages were portals into another world and it became a kind of talisman that, I believed, as long as it was with me I could come to no harm. So it travelled with me as I moved homes around the city and guided me through jobs and relationships along the way. During those years, I began to write my deepest hopes and prayers on little slips of paper and tuck them between the pages of the book, hoping the magic contained within it would make them come true one day.

The book indulged my passion for astrology and Magick and - almost 10 years later - it was the first thing I reached for when fate led me to Tarot Teas and I began crafting the teas you see here today. Throughout that time, a cup of herbal or fruit tea has never been far from my grasp.
